the art of candid child photographyI used to stress when it was time for my kids to have a portrait session. I wanted that perfect smile, that perfect "cheese". But the more I've photographed, the more I'm convinced that cheesy smiles don't always convey a child's personality. Those shots that are more candid allows the child to show his/her true self! If your child doesn't like sitting still or posing for the camera, have no worries! I can still get some great photos of him/her/them. When children don't want to cooperate, we as photographers jump to plan B. It is our job to create situations where your child can relax and candidly bring out their personalities. About 98% of the time I prefer candid shots instead of posed ones. I think you will too! I promise to do my very best so you will be happy and smile! xoxo, Traci with an Eye Comments
